Mary Howard is a fourth generation Ventura County native and a well known and well respected member of Ventura County's cultural, economic and legal communities.  Mary's current practice includes both civil litigation and transactional law.

Mary was in private practice from 1980 until 1988, focusing on civil litigation, business, and family law.  From 1988 until 1994, Mary managed assets of a trust which included over 300 acres of agricultural property, a rock quarry, and a cemetery.  Mary then worked as in-house counsel for Loewen Group, Inc., where she dealt primarily with governmental relations, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters.  Mary has worked side by side with Curt Uritz since 2003.

Interests and Community Service

Mary grew up in Ventura County and is extremely active in the community.  Among her many activities:

           ●          Mary served as Legal Counsel for the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce from 2000-2007.

           ●          Mary assisted in the formation of, and currently chairs, the Board of the Gold Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  Mary is also the Gold Coast Hispanic Camber of Commerce's representative to the Regional Legislative Alliance.

           ●          Mary also served as the District Secretary for Rotary International, District 5240 (2004-2007) and was the past President of the Rotary Club of Camarillo (2005-2006). She is a current member of the Rotary Club of Oxnard Sunrise.

           ●          Mary has also served on the Boards for the Ventura County Community College Foundation, the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo, and the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation.
