Ventura Law was founded with the fundamental desire to provide legal services characterized by extraordinary compassion, personal attention, and support for our community.

Extending that mission beyond legal services, Ventura Law supports numerous local and national non-profit organizations, including Ann’s Place, End Distracted Driving, Women’s Center of Danbury, Veterati, the Celma Masty Ovarian Cancer Foundation and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

We also encourage firm personnel to support their local communities by participating in firm-sponsored service opportunities in our community. Firm-sponsored service projects, coordinated by a volunteer led Community Service Steering Group, allow Ventura Law personnel to donate time toward a range of meaningful, hands-on volunteer activities. Many of our lawyers and professionals serve on the boards of directors of area nonprofit organizations.

We seek to focus our support on:
  • Large community-based events or programs; i.e. events which promote health and safety awareness, cultural events, family friendly festivals
  • Educational programs, mentor programs, and career development in the legal field
  • Key centers of influence, affinity membership groups, and non-profit organizations that support our local ethnic communities
Sponsorship Guidelines

Ventura Law routinely donates to charitable causes. If your organization would like to be considered for a donation, we ask that you adhere to the following criteria:

  • Requestors must be charitable organizations (501-C3 organizations).
  • Requestors can only submit one request per calendar year.
  • All donation requests must be submitted electronically

All requests will be considered on case-by-case basis and every request will be responded to at least 4-6 weeks prior to the event, whether approved or declined. The inability to fulfill a request is based on the firm’s donation criteria, the number of requests received, and our inventory of items. Unfortunately, due to the number of requests received annually, we may be unable to fulfill requests described below:

  • Items requested for personal use (non 501(c)(3) organizations)
  • Requests requiring the contribution to any business or organizational rewards programs.
  • Requests to donate to individuals, groups or organizations soliciting donations on behalf of a third party.
  • Multiple donations to the same organization within a given year.
  • Capital campaigns
  • Political campaigns and/or candidates seeking re-election
  • Administrative or operation expenses

There are two types of funding that Ventura Law offers: sponsorships and charitable donations. Please review both options below before submitting an application to ensure that you are applying to the right category to suit your request. Incorrectly submitted forms will be asked to reapply which may result in a delay or missed funding opportunity.

a) Sponsorships: Ventura Law firm defines sponsorship as a mutually beneficial opportunity for both parties to promote a common goal. Each party gains visibility through shared name recognition and acknowledgment in print, radio, TV, or online including brand and advertising placement. Logo and/or name exposure is also considered. We expect that our sponsorship partners will invest a minimum of 10% of the total value of the sponsorship to proactively add value to the sponsorship.

Annual Funding Process: This is for sponsorship request that are ongoing yearly or are requesting funding over multiple years. Examples: Long term projects, Annual recurring events.

  • You must apply one year in advance.
  • Please only submit one application; we will follow up in 4-6 weeks.
  • Organizations that have been selected to receive funding will be notified and donations will be issued starting in January for the year requested.

One Time Funding Process: This is for sponsorship requests for a one time event or need. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

  • You must apply at least 3 months in advance of your event deadline. The earlier you apply the better.
  • Please only submit one application; we will follow up in 4-6 weeks.
  • Due to turn around time we are not able to accommodate donation requests on short notice.
  • Organizations that have been selected to receive funding will be notified and donations will be issued as soon as possible.

b) Charitable Donations: Ventura Law recognizes that our communities have many needs. As a contributing member of our community we look to support to the best of our abilities. While we recognize the need is often large it is not possible for us to support all. We have established areas to support that best align with our firm’s goals, heritage, and values.

  • No telephone, fax, mail, or email requests will be accepted.
  • All requests must be submit via our electronic request form below.
