Valerie B. Calistro is the Managing Partner of Ventura Law which concentrates in Civil Litigation, including Personal Injury and Mass Torts/Complex Litigation. Attorney Calistro also focuses on the representation of victims of sexual assaults, including minors, and traumatic brain injuries.

Attorney Calistro has represented thousands of clients in civil cases throughout Connecticut and New York, in the State and Federal Courts, as well as in arbitrations throughout the US in International Trade matters.As a Personal Injury attorney, she has successfully represented and settled thousands of civil cases, several with values in excess of a million dollars. She currently splits her time between the Firm’s Danbury and New York City offices.Attorney Calistro was one of the founding partners of the firm’s former branch office in the World Trade Center, where she litigated international trade cases in the Federal Courts of NY for several years. She also represented, pro bono, a victim of the World Trade Center, who survived the September 11, 2001 attacks. She was nationally recognized for her volunteer efforts in this regard.Attorney Calistro has been a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Danbury Bar Association, and the Leaders Forum of the American Association of Justice.She was also chosen to serve as a panelist on the American Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution National Forum in Washington, DC on the topic “Mediating the High Profile Controversy,”​ where she discussed high profile sexual assault and abuse cases, Mass Torts, the BP Oil Spill claim, and the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.Attorney Calistro is on the Board of Directors of the “Wendy Hilliard Foundation”, benefitting underserved youth in New York City through the sport of gymnastics. She also serves on the Board of Directors for “Multiplying Good” (formally known as “the Jefferson Awards”) whose mission is to cultivate greatness through service to others. She has also volunteered with New York Cares and Literacy Volunteers and was appointed to the Women’s Business Council Steering Committee, for the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce.She’s proficient in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian languages.
