Jose Rojas, Esq.

Attorney Jose Rojas graduated from law school in 1997. Following law school, Jose was recruited and commissioned as a Captain by the United States Army, Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He served with distinction as a lawyer for the United States Army, receiving the Army Achievement Medal as a member of the Airborne Corps. Later, he was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney whereupon he was given the awesome responsibility of representing the United States as a federal prosecutor. Rojas prosecuted and tried cases such as rape, child molestation, homicide and larceny. Attorney Rojas was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Director of the FBI for his “outstanding prosecutive skills” and was made an honorary Agent with the Army Criminal Investigation Division.

Rojas left public service and spent the next five years representing large corporate and governmental clients at one of Connecticut’s largest and most prominent firms. His work at this large law firm focused on handling matters involving civil litigation. Jose was appointed by the Federal Court to serve on the Federal Grievance Committee, where he heard cases regarding lawyer misconduct and also served as a Small Claims Commissioner, where he heard and adjudicated small claims court cases.

Jose joins Ventura Law in 2021 after 16 years of experience as a solo practitioner in the Hartford area. Driven by a personal passion to bring justice to those who need it most, Rojas primarily handles cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice and defective products. Attorney Rojas has been featured in the evening news (NBC30), the Connecticut Law Tribune, and has been quoted in the Hartford Courant.
